Ski Resort
According to the specifications of the FIS (International Ski Federation) in Ski resort of Kopaonik there are three slopes for slalom, giant slalom and downhill. It has well-organized slopes at an altitude of 1650 reaching 2010 meters total length. All slopes are connected to 25 lifts with a total capacity of 32,000 people per hour. The center’s flawless organization is by no means accidental. The fact that the former Yugoslavia organized the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo and Kopaonik was the training ground for athletes indicates the days of great glory. The distance from Thessaloniki is 510km and the border crossing is done with a new type of ID (with Latin letters).
