A three-day training session in Vasilitsa, introduction to mountaineering ski / splitboard, by the experienced mountain guide Lazaros Botelis and his team. For mountain lovers who do not want to be confined to the slopes of the ski resorts and have moving safely as a priority.

The three-day training seminar is aimed at beginners in mountaineering skiing / splitboard and covers: familiarization with the equipment, climbing techniques, techniques of descending in fraudulent snow, traffic safety, avalanches and safety equipment (transceiver, shovel). Workshops are held with a minimum number of participants of 6 people and a maximum of 15 people.

The theoretical introduction takes place in the afternoon of the first day (Friday) and the practical training takes place the next two days (Saturday and Sunday) on the beautiful slopes of northern Greece.

_what is mountaineering ski/snowboard

The activity in which the skier with the use of special, appropriate equipment can tour the winter field, while he can climb the slope without slipping down.

Greece has more than forty peaks over 2000m has an endless field that can offer excitement. Also, with mountain skiing you can extend the spring ski season by one or two months!

_what equipment will I need

Mountaineering boots, mountaineering bindings and folding walking sticks. Skins: a strip of fibers that is placed under the base of the ski / splitboard and allows us to climb the slope without slipping backwards. Those who do not have the ability to rent a splitboard can use snowshoes (you can rent them from Klaoudatos stores).

Suitable clothing: isothermal clothers, midlayer, synthetic/feather jacket, trousers with or without insulation, membrane, isothermal gloves (climbing), gloves for sking, hat, buff

_can i participate?

The fields that we will encounter vary, the participants should be able to go down a red ski slope with comfort and good technique. You should also be in good physical condition.

_the price per person is 210€ and includes:

  • instructor-mountain guide fee
  • two nights in a shelter or hostel with breakfast
  • organisational costs
  • liability insurance
  • legal taxes

_the price does not include:

  • transportation
  • mountaineering equipment (mountain skiing, boots, seals). It is possible to rent from Klaoudatos stores | 40€ for the two days
  • snowshoe rental | 20€ for the two days
  • extra meals and drinks
