_our excursion

The first kite & kazani is a fact! A four-day getaway to the island of Lemnos to learn or practice kite but at the same time to take part in the process of producing tsipouro in a traditional cauldron (distillery) and get to know the local gastronomy.

Our excursion takes place on October in collaboration with the Flamingo Kite, which is located on the beach of Aliki and the distillery of the Lyristis family, in Kontopouli.

Participants will have the opportunity to take kite lessons in groups or practice their favorite hobby for 4 days as well as to live the unique experience of distilling tsipouro in a traditional distillery. On the island we will also have the opportunity to explore places and villages with great gastronomic and athletic interest.

Kitesurf*:

  • 6/9 hours lessons for beginners/intermediate

The courses are held in English and the program will be shaped according to the prevailing weather conditions. If kite lessons cannot be held due to weather conditions there will be alternative activities for these days.

Cauldron:

The distillation of tsipouro will take place at the distillery of the Lyristi family, located in the center of Κontopouli village. During the distillation we will learn what is the process from the harvest to the production and bottling of the distillate and we will take part in it in practice. Finally, we will have the opportunity to taste the distillate product while dining in the area.

_accommodation

Our stay will be at Kalliopi Lux Apartments, in the center of Kalliopi village which is 5 km from the beach of Aliki and Flamingo Kite and 1 km from the village Kontopouli. The rooms belong to a newly built and luxurious residential complex, with the possibility of choosing accommodation in a 2 or 3 bedroom studios, fully equipped and of high standards. The environment predisposes to relaxation and rest before and after our lessons and excursions to the island, providing a fully equipped kitchen, A/C, Nespresso coffee maker, TV, washing machine and private yard in every studio.

_kitesurf lessons

The kitesurf lessons will take place at Flamingo Kite. The program of the courses will be announced on the first day of the excursion and will depend on the weather conditions of the days.

6 hour package (group 2-3 persons): 220€/person
 9-hour package (group 2-3 persons): 320€/person

*In case of non-ideal weather conditions there will be the possibility of 3-hour courses at a cost of 110€/person

_car rental

The car rental cost is 100€/car for participants from Athens and 75€/car for participants from Thessaloniki and is not included in the price.

  • accommodation in a two- or three-room studio

  • air or boat tickets

  • rental of kite equipment apart of the lessons
  • car rental or transfer to and from scheduled activities
